North Central ACDA Featured Concert Tonight

Tonight is the final evening concert at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.

The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists and Magnum Chorum will combine with the St. Olaf College Orchestra to present "Ode to Common Things" by Ratcliff.  Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna" will also be performed by the massed choirs.

JW Pepper Music

Here at the ACDA Conference in Minneapolis there are tons of Exhibitors - so I stopped in to see my friends at JW Pepper Music.  Great company that has been providing choral music for many, many organizations for decades!

Pictured here are Evan (left) and Josiah (right) in front of their exhibit.

Minneapolis!

Just snapped this photo of Orchestra Hall while walking along the Nicollet Mall - getting ready to attend the 'International Concert' tonight.

The concert features the Girls Choir of Tallinn, Estonia and Bela Bartok Male Chorus.  Not sure if there are tickets available for the concert at this point - but it should be a wonderful event for the North Central ACDA Conference Attendees!

A Community That Sings!

Minneapolis is host to the American Choral Directors Association Conference (for the North Central Division), March 3 - 6.  The Conference, "A Community That Sings!" will feature a series of evening concerts at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.

From Age to Age...Engaging...Satisfying

It was a pleasure for me to attend the concert presented by From Age to Age yesterday in Brainerd, MN.  Bethlehem Lutheran Church offered a beautiful setting for the concert for the 14 singers and the conductor, Andy Miller.

The three part program, Love, Faith, Hope, was a delight from beginning to end.  The choir was well prepared and sang with a free, relaxed tone that blended perfectly.  The intonation was absolutely marvelous.

Today at 3:00 PM: "What a Goodly Thing...to Sing!"

Twin Cities Youth Chorale perform today at 3:00 pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove MN.
